Racer National Event Entry Newsletter
This newsletter holds new information and ALL racers are encouraged to read this pre season issue carefully. Any queries can be forwarded to Chris Tynan at NZDRA.
All competitors (including Super Street)
To achieve and maintain a professional well organised event, NZDRA now requires that all racers competing at these events tob pre enter. Racers can enter on the day but penilties apply.
Pre entry procedure
- All racer entry fees are paid direct to NZDRA.
- Options for payment:
- Download the entry form and post with cheques to NZDRA,PO Box 556, Hamilton 3242
- Email the form and internet bank entry fee into the NZDRA account.
- Entry will be confirmed when the racers name appears on the NZDRA web site ‘Event info Entry’ list.
- After close off date the entry list is forwarded to the track concerned to support the planning of pit layout etc.
- NZDRA will supply staff at the entry booth on race day to ensure
- A correct and current licence
- That log book and crew credentials are issued.
Racers:
- Pre entry (including payment of the entry fee) must occur at least 20 days prior to the National Event they wish to compete in. This allows sufficient time after the last national event to check equipment and confirm attendance.
- Pre entered racers will receive complementary gate passes allowing entry to the venue. These may be collected from the NZDRA staff at the venue gate by the entered racer by presenting photo ID i.e. drivers licence. (Racers will have to organise giving passes to their crew if they arrive later as they will not be given to crew members).
- For racers that do not pre enter:
· The prescribed entry fee will remain the same and will be payable at the track entry booth on race day.
· Racer and team members will have to pay the gate charge as per spectators.
- Current national series champions:
· Gold card holders must pre enter (no fee required).
- In extenuating circumstances if the event is pre-entered but not attended, Entry may be forwarded to next event, or refunded at the sole discretion of NZDRA.
Racer entry fee and pre entry ticket allocation per national event
- Group One: $200 includes 6 complementary passes
- Group Two: $180 ** includes 5 complementary passes **
- Group Three: $120 includes 3 complementary passes
- Group Four: $120 includes 3 complementary passes
** Supercharged Outlaw (although a Group three division) will pay a Group two entry and receive prize money as per Group two competitors.
- Junior Dragster competitor race entry is free if racers pre enter. Juniors that do not pre enter will incur a $50 entry fee on the day.
- For other divisions - if pre entry is not utilized, the above amounts are payable at the track on race day.
Please NB: At the completion of racing NZDRA will pay all prize money directly into racers’ nominated bank account. This enables racers to be confident that any remuneration owed will be paid.
Therefore: All pre entries must supply bank details for depositing prize money and/or any travel allowance. Without these details:
- No travel allowance/prize money is able to be paid, as no payments will be made at the track – no exceptions.

- If your envelope has been stamped to be audited, proceed to scrutineering bay before going to entry booth.
- Severe breaches found will result in expulsion from the event.
