Due to the limited opportunities to set a New Zealand National Record at present, the Board are allowing racers able to set National records the ability to claim that record at any NZDRA sanctioned event.

All class requirements must still be meet, including the availability of scales on site to weigh those vehicles that must adhere to a class weight break.

The 1% back up rule still applies when setting any national record.

Being the National Body in New Zealand any run on a non NZDRA sanctioned venue will not be recognised as a National record.
