KUMEU CLASSIS CAR SUMMER NATIONALS Print E-mail
Thursday, 03 December 2009

Points we would like to address with racers.

Sponsor Decals: 2.24Each competitor contesting the national series may be required to affix a Decal or Signage of: (a) The National Series Naming Rights Sponsor(b) The National Series Event Sponsor.(c) The National Series Class / Bracket Sponsor. In every case the Decal / Signage must be displayed in a prominent place on both sides of the vehicle or bike unless directed otherwise by a NZDRA official. No Points / Prize money and Exclusion from the event for any contestant refusing to display decal / signage.

These sponsors make the sport what it is, so please give them what they are paying for….exposure.

Please ensure you have the correct designation on the side of your vehicle for the class you intend to compete at these National events. There was some confusion in the bike ranks at the Northern Nats so please check. Do not rely on the tech inspectors ok as some are not actually confirming with what is in the rule book. Ensure your vehicle matches the letter(s) the forward slash / and the following letter(s) as laid out in the book.

When entering an event ensure you use the vehicle number not your licence number. Often in is the same but not always, remembering you are entering the vehicle.

Forms for the Kumeu Classic Car Summer Nats are here. http://www.nzdra.co.nz/downloads/forms/index.php  (We are still working on the online entry).

Racers are reminded they must tick off the SSP form and sign the indemnity to get an arm band.

Crew are reminded to sign the waiver book and receive arm bands to gain access to start line area.

Crew are not permitted to stand near the start line pre-stage area if their vehicle is not present.

Crew are also reminded (2.25) Crew members may not place their foot in the pre stage beam when the other competitor is in pre stage, this will result in instant disqualification of your driver.

Racers once you have lost there may be an opportunity to get in a couple of test & tune runs. This is sometimes called the exhibition lane (X). There will be two possible time slots for this after the second round. There are no guarantees of how many vehicles or when this lane will run as it depends on oil downs, crashes etc the more down time the less chance of running. This lane is needed to allow the group one and two cars their minimum turn around times so get into it as soon as possible to ensure you get the runs.

TV air time for the Fram Northern Nationals is 13th December 2009 on Powerbuilt Tools Motorsport on TV1.

Enter for the Kumeu Classic Car Summer Nationals now and save yourselves some $ and time at the track. http://www.nzdra.co.nz/downloads/forms/index.php. Pre entry to this event closes 16th December!
