Numbers Racers must insure they have the correct vehicle number ON BOTH SIDES of the vehicle. NZDRA rule book: 2.09 Competition Numbers -Any vehicle competing at NZDRA events must display the driver's competition number. Numbers must be a minimum 150mm high and 38mm wide. Class designation letters must be a minimum 75 mm high and 38mm wide. Driver's competition number and class designation must be displayed in a legible manner in a contrasting colour to the vehicle's background colour on both sides of the vehicle and must be clearly visible to the tower personnel, where practicable the same designation at half size should be placed on the windscreen. The area steward will be checking vehicles for compliance and those that do not will be disqualified from competition. This was a problem at Taupo where vehicles that normally race at Fram did not have numbers on the left side of the car as above to accommodate the Taupo timing tower being on the opposite side of the track. It also highlighted the importance of numbers and dial-ins being legible and easy to read. Decals; Some racers must also be reminded Series, Event and Bracket Sponsor Decals must be displayed in a prominent place ON BOTH SIDES OF THE VEHICLE OR BIKE. This has been reminded in the past and racers that do not comply from the Southern Nationals forward will forfeit any prize and or travel payments from these national events! SSP Forms; SSP forms must be presented at entry BY THE DRIVER not a crew person. The form must have the self srutineering boxes filled in and signed by the driver before a racer arm band is issued. Pre entered racers crew must produce their pass (in pre entry envelope) to receive track access arm bands. Non pre entered crews must be accompanied by the driver to receive their arm bands. |
