Modified

Submitter: Paul Jacobs #354

I would like to see the requirements of the division changed so that no
supercharging (mechanical or chemical) is allowed. The division is
considered a cheaper form of the Competition division, with respective
performance (down to about 8.5 secs). Supercharged vehicles generally
run much faster, and there is a DYO division for them (SCO) that needs more
competitors.

Because supercharged vehicles run so much faster, it is very easy for them
to qualify No 1. This reduces the competition between other Modified
participants to strive for the No 1 qualifier position (and all that goes with it).

Supercharging is an expense that doesn't fit with the affordable intent of this division.

Submitter: Wayne Hussey # 1967

I would like the rule changed for T/D which limits nitrous cars to three stages of nitrous.

I would like it changed to five stages.

This does not necessarily give the car any more power than three stages but does allow you to bring it in in smaller amounts without huge timing changes, reducing engine wear considerably, and helps particularly with powerglide trans cars allowing for small amounts of nitrous to get the car off the line on bad tracks while still having enough stages to bring in normal amounts further down track.
