Twenty five Inspectors and Area Stewards recently attended the NZDRA technical inspectors training day in Auckland where issues include liability, Stewards responsibilities and vehicle classifying was discussed. 

The main focus for the training day was safety rules and regulations and there implementation with the attendees informed of the new rules implemented for the coming season.

The NZDRA crash investigation process was also explained with photos from some of the more serious incidents the NZDRA have investigated over the past decade. Thankfully there have been few cases, this showing our rules and regulations are insuring safety and association policies are keeping step with the current vehicles speeds.

All attendees at the course under went a written test paper at the conclusion of the conference which confirmed their competency, understanding and importance of their position. A follow up of these test papers will insure the sport is prepared for the coming season.
