After coming second in his first year of ANDRA Championship Drag Racing Athol Williams and his Stud Welding team are well on the way to letting the Australians know second isn’t good enough for this Kiwi team. Qualifying number one with a 6.339 @ 215.75 in Australia’s quickest side by side Top Bike pass, Troy McLean running a personal best of 6.438 beside him will be assured a tuff season is ahead. Unfortunately the weather in Sydney did not shine and the meeting was cancelled, meaning no qualifying points will be forth coming and only entry points will be awarded from the first round of the ANDRA Championship Series.
