CENTURY YUASA POINTS AVAILABLE AT MOTUEKA |

Although not as publicised as the National rounds Group 2, 3 and 4 competitors have 2 additional rounds in which to gain points in the Century Yuasa Power Series. The two “Regional” rounds are both in the south island, these rounds are to balance the number of events in each island before the finals at the NZ Nationals. The Rock FM Dragway in Motueka just outside sunny Nelson is just the place for one of these events. Group one vehicles cannot gain points at these rounds due to track limitations, although the Nelson Drag Racing Association use the opportunity to have group one vehicles from the recent Digga event there to do single demonstration runs. There are a number of group one vehicles heading to Motueka this year to add to the show put on by the many group 2, 3 and 4 teams, many travelling from all parts of New Zealand chasing the Century Yuasa Power Series points. The NDRA team have secured the worlds fastest electric motorcycle the Killa Cycle. The record for this eco bike is 7.864 @ 169mph that’s 270kph!
So if you are into bikes, fast cars or just like noise head to Motueka 6th of February 2010.
