Kiwi racers travel accross the ditch to take on the Aussies, The trans tasman challenge is on and the teams shown below are out to do the business, As they say in Willowbank "its going to be Brutal"
A fantastic weekend was had by all at Warwick Dragway last week, with the Aussie's taking the first round of the challenge 6-4, over two rounds of racing.
The Nitro Ape team of Craig Mullan is two for two, with Alex Hogg in the Cammer FED, and Karl Boniface in the Nitro Flashback Funny Car with a win each.
Mark Vincent was busy with his standard stonkingly good burnouts, and six foot high wheelstands, and there was no way that Karl wanted to lift - snaking his way down the eighth mile track on every pass. The Plaincrazy roadster of Richard McCarthy went straight and true every time, but broke out (too fast for the dial in) in competition.
A huge thank you must go out to Kristy and Andrew Lange, John Fleming, and Bay Rodders for pulling this tour together. The NZ Black Slicks are raring to go for this weekend at Willowbank, and show the Aussies that Kiwi's can fly....and we know that the Aussie team are keen on taking this event out as well...... the game faces are truly on - who will win??
