|
Wednesday, 11 November 2009 |
|

NZDRA is please to have VHT® support the Super Sedan division for the Century Yuasa Power Series. Cash payouts to the Champion and place getters will insure the competition is hotly contested over the series events.
All drag racers associate the VHT® brand with traction compound used at drag strips all around the world. This product is sprayed onto the rubberised track surface giving racers the bite they need to run their personal bests. Car enthusiasts would also be aware VHT® is a leader in automotive coatings from engine enamel to vinyl paints, meaning they also have many uses around your home too.
One of the most well known in automotive circles is VHT® FlameProofTM. This coating will renew and extend the life of any surface exposed to extremely high temperatures. This unique coating is a matte finish, silicone ceramic base widely used by the automotive industry on exhaust systems and the aerospace industry for jet engines, re-entry vehicles and other high temperature applications. VHT® FlameProofTM Coating will withstand temperatures up to 2000°F (1093°C) and is ideal for use on headers, exhaust manifolds, piston domes, inside heads, or wherever an extreme temperature coating is needed - 1300°F-2000°F (704°C-1093°C).

FRAM NORTHERN NATIONALS ENTRY LIST 28-29th November 2009 http://www.nzdra.co.nz/results/index.php
The first season f or the Morice McMillin/Ryan Sheldon Top Alcohol funny car had many highs and better than expected results, culminating with a 3rd place finish in the NZDRA Top alcohol championship. The 09/10 season looks even better for the Hamilton based team with the announcement of TengTools taking over as naming rights sponsor for the team.
TengTools, already involved with the team as an associate sponsor were happy with the teams performance and exposure during the debut season” After a successful season last year we are proud to increase our involvement with Morice and his team. Quoted Teng Tools operations manager Stephen Cole”
The TengTools Funny car is now committed to competing in all 5 rounds of the Century Yuasa Power series Drag Racing Championships this season. “Its An honour to Represent TengTools and showcase there high Quality Equipment. As a team we really appreciate there support” said Driver Morice McMillin
The combo remains essentially the same as last season with routine maintenance undertaken, giving the team a good baseline to start the season from and improve even more on the teams personal best set last year of 6.73 at 211mph. (339 km/h)
The team have also been lucky enough to retain associate sponsors, Brad Penn oil, Nostalgia Motors, Mitsi Spares, Jonesey's Garage and Horne Engineering for another season, without who's commitment along with that of TengTools, none of it would be possible.

|
FRAM NORTHERN NATIONALS ENTRY LIST 28-29th November 2009 http://www.nzdra.co.nz/results/index.php
First National Round Century Yuasa Power Series.
Pre entry to this event closes next Sunday 8th November.
Pre entry will save some racers up to * $270 and make entry on the day a breeze.
For those that don’t * $470 could be your total entry into the venue with your race entry so $200 is a bargain. (*Based on Group One division).
Sunday entry is available at this Fram event for Super Street competitors but pre entry is still advisable to get discount on entry.
After discussions with some Junior dragster parents and the NZDRA Board, clarification of the pre-entry requirement for them has resulted in: Junior Dragster division racers are required to pre enter although an entry fee is not applicable. Complimentary tickets will not be issued and no prize money allocated but trophies will be awarded. For Juniors not pre entering a $50 entry fee will apply on the day as an incentive to insure they do pre enter!
